The Township of McGarry uses a “single stream" recycling system. This means that you can put all of your recyclable materials into one bag, making it easier to recycle and less garbage will end up in the landfill.
2024 Garbage and Recycling Schedule
| Garbage |

• Garbage collection is every Thursday with a limit of 4 bags. • Please have your garbage at the road by 8:00 am. • All garbage MUST be bagged in regular garbage bags. • Garbage not bagged properly, too heavy to lift (more then 40 lbs) or that breaks open will be left behind. |
| Recycling |

•Recycling collection is every other Thursday with no limit. Schedule •Please have your recycling at the road by 8:00 am. •Use clear or blue plastic bags. •Rinse all containers before putting them in bags. •Flatten cardboard boxes and tie together if too much to fit in bags. •Do not put compost or animal waste material in your bags. •You do not need to sort your recycling. |

May 1 to September 30 Thursday 12:00 (noon) to 7:00pm Saturday 9:00am to 4:00pm
October 1 to April 30 Thursday 12:00 (noon) to 4:00pm Saturday 9:00am to 4:00pm
Waste Site Pass Waste site passes are distributed with all tax bills in September. Non-tax paying cottage owners, located at Raven and Cheminis Rd only, can purchase a waste site pass at a cost of $200.00.
