The McGarry Tourist Centre was built in 1988/1989 by Huntley Log Home. It was a joint venture to be shared between Larder Lake and McGarry Township to boast the history of the area.
The artifacts displayed in the Tourism Centre were generously donated by and housed on loan by residents of the area as well as local mining companies.
The main floor houses the infamous Kerr Mine model displaying the levels and rock formations that were accessed to extract the gold ore, and the loft prouldy boasts sports memorabilia and mining artifacts. Local artisans have their wares on display and are available for purchase.
